About the Artist

American artist Michelle Alonzo’s (b. 1986) pencil drawn works on paper, hold still the unsettling within relationships.

The artist finely blends realism and recall. As a result, compositions present the illusion of sculptural forms enveloped in a space of safety and stillness. Personal ties to the subjects, intricacies in gesture, and positioning further define the narrative.

An accomplished background in classical piano informs the artist’s practice and pursuit of mastery.
